IOKA, within the framework of its broad and long-standing cooperation with the National Bank of Greece, undertook the architecturally and culturally significant work, of implementing the complete restoration and transformation into a museum, of the traditional house of the famed Lefkadian poet Aggelos Sikelianos, (a 9-time Nobel of Literature contender), which dates back to the 17th century.

The project was extremely demanding as the site has been abandoned for decades. Extensive structural, electromechanical and other repetary works were carried out. Special attention was paid to the building materials which were completely replaced, such as the roof tiles or the windows and the doors, where the architectural study required almost perfect matching with the materials used back, when the house was occupied by its prominent owner.

IOKA delivered the project on time while successfully accomplishing the transformation of the residence into a building of cultural beauty.
