Bulletproof glass

Bulletproof glass is a type of glass that is intended for high security areas such as banks, embassies and jewelry shops.

Their main function is to protect the space from bullet or parts thereof, fired by weapons such as a Kalashnikov or a Magnum.

The unique feature of this type of glass is the multiple layering of the sheets and membranes, specified by European standard EN 1063, which refers to the testing and grading of bulletproof glass from level BR1 to level BR7, based on attacks against them by a rifle, pistol or shotgun: Glazing – Testing and classification of bullet attack resistance.

The reinforcement with additional material which renders the glass panes non-degradable, (NS) may also be offered.
